This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the middleweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 14 wins and 13 losses; Tigran Minasian! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 11 wins and 7 losses; Ryan Hell! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Minasian displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hell. Minasian moves into range and clinches up with Hell. Minasian turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Minasian manages to end up in side control. Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Minasian (4) vs (0) Hell Minasian working away. Hell manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Hell is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Minasian pulls his head out easily. Minasian tries to pass to full mount but Hell defends it. Hell is refusing to be controlled, as Minasian sits in half guard. Minasian prevents Hell from improving his position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Minasian is trying to control the action in half guard but Hell is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Hell is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Minasian pulls his head out easily. Minasian definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Hell is pressing down on Minasian's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Hell is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Minasian stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hell swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hell tries to land a sweep but no joy. Hell is trying to control the position but Minasian postures up. You can see the frustration on Hell's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Minasian is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Hell's shoulder. That is not cool. Hell prevents Minasian from moving into mount. Hell struggling a bit here. Minasian is looking to take a break and control but Hell is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Hell is trying to escape the position but Minasian is controlling the position.

Minasian thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Hell is not content to let Minasian control the position. Hell sneaks back into half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Hell manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Hell wants to sweep here but Minasian controlling him for the moment. Minasian looking to pass the guard. Minasian is sitting in close to Hell's body. Hell has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Minasian is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Minasian is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Hell.
