Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Wellington Maia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Wellington Maia!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Luis Engracia and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones feints and as Maia raises his hands in defense, Jones changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Maia bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jones's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Maia is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Maia trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Maia trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom.
Jones manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Maia manages to get himself to full guard.
Jones is pushing down on Maia's leg trying to pass to half guard. Maia is fighting to maintain full guard but Jones has managed to sneak the leg through.
Jones is looking for a kimura but Maia is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Jones to get the leverage.
Jones is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Maia is just riding it out for now. Jones eventually gives up the hold.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Maia is looking for a sweep. Jones is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Jones is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Maia sees it coming and defends easily.
Jones is trying for a kimura here. Maia looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Jones wins by kimura!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Andy Jones!
