Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makaridis looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Both fighters circling a little - Catartes finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
A head kick misses from Catartes.
Makaridis feints the counter takedown.
Makaridis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Catartes as he jumps to the side.
Makaridis shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Catartes but Catartes pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Carcarah Catartes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Petros Makaridis.
Catartes lands with a nice body kick.
Makaridis misses with a two punch combination.
Makaridis shoots in for a double leg but Catartes sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Makaridis takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Makaridis takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Jab, jab by Catartes - just one landing.
Carcarah Catartes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Catartes lands a nice looking body shot.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Makaridis sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
A solid leg kick lands there for Catartes.
Carcarah Catartes is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
BOOM! Catartes lands a beautiful left hook that drops Makaridis. Makaridis tries to recover but Catartes is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Makaridis lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
