Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Martins Voranovskis!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Ivan Kurochkin and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reese fails with a takedown attempt.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Voranovskis manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Reese tries to stand but Voranovskis is controlling from the bottom.
Reese might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Reese wants to pass the guard but Voranovskis is keeping the position.
Reese with a nice head shot there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Reese trying to control but Voranovskis is working from the bottom.
Reese slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Voranovskis looking to hit a scissor sweep but Reese is one step ahead there.
Reese wants to control from the top but Voranovskis keeps moving.

Voranovskis manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Reese fails with the takedown

and Voranovskis counters by moving into the clinch.
Voranovskis is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Reese trying to stall but Voranovskis improves his position.

Voranovskis manages to pull guard.

Voranovskis is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Voranovskis has his hands on Reese's head, controlling the position.
Reese throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Voranovskis works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Reese wants to control from the top but Voranovskis keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Reese wants to stand but Voranovskis has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Reese trying to control but Voranovskis is working from the bottom.

Voranovskis is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Reese has his hands clasped together but Voranovskis extends and breaks Reese's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Voranovskis.
