PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Talon Orion (ranked 2820 p4p, 3030 weight class) and Jon Rambo (ranked 277 p4p, 293 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Talon Orion!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Jon Rambo!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Orion loads up on a big right hand but Rambo slips the punch.
Orion throws a right hand that Rambo ducks under and follows up with a left that Rambo also avoids with ease.
Orion connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
A swing and a miss from Orion.
A chopping leg kick lands by Orion.
Rambo will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Orion lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rambo circles away quickly and effectively.
Rambo walks into a straight right hand from Orion.
Orion pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Rambo avoids the body shot from Orion.
Orion fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Orion moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Orion comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Rambo tries to clinch but Orion moves away
and Orion counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Orion throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Rambo pushes Orion up against the cage in a clinch.
Rambo tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Rambo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rambo tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Orion counters with a crisp right hand that drops Rambo! Orion lets Rambo back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Rambo is rocked!
Orion weaves into range and cracks Rambo right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Rambo goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Orion is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Talon Orion!
