The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Muay Thai lands a big head kick that sends Jaqeli tumbling to the mat! Muay Thai takes a step backwards and waves Jaqeli back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Davit Jaqeli has been cut.
Jaqeli wants to clinch up but Muay Thai keeps it at a distance.
Muay Thai tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Jaqeli swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A head kick misses from Muay Thai.
Jaqeli tries to clinch there but Muay Thai circles away.
Muay Thai throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The fight stays on the outside here - Jaqeli looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Muay Thai throws a sloppy head kick and Jaqeli moves out of range easily.
Muay Thai tries to clinch up.
Muay Thai scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Muay Thai throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Muay Thai forces Jaqeli back against the cage and clinches.

Muay Thai pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

A nice right hand lands inside from Jaqeli.

Muay Thai's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Muay Thai bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Jaqeli is looking to clinch.
Jaqeli has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Canucks Combat Club in the buildup to the fight.
Muay Thai tries to clinch

Muay Thai thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Jaqeli if he has to take too many more of those.

Muay Thai has closed the distance and engaged Jaqeli in a clinch.

Muay Thai breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Muay Thai lands with a nice body kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Muay Thai lands with a kick to the temple. Jaqeli shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Muay Thai moves into the clinch successfully.

Jaqeli throws a punch but it's blocked by Muay Thai.

Muay Thai jumps guard.

Muay Thai has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Jaqeli doesn't defend quickly enough and Muay Thai has managed to lock this one up! Can Jaqeli escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Muay Thai on a fantastic submission victory.
