Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michi Gehlinho (ranked 4405 p4p, 24479 weight class) and Affectionately Eve (ranked 142 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michi Gehlinho! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Affectionately Eve! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck with that takedown attempt from Eve. Gehlinho is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Eve's half guard. Eve tries to kick Gehlinho off but Gehlinho keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Gehlinho throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gehlinho seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Eve does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Gehlinho stalling away here and it's allowed Eve to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Gehlinho wants to pass the guard but Eve is keeping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gehlinho won't allow Eve to get back to his feet. Eve keeping moving, preventing Gehlinho from controlling successfully. Eve keeping full guard, as Gehlinho tries to pass. Gehlinho pushes down on Eve's leg and manages to get into half guard. Gehlinho looks to land a strike but Eve avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Gehlinho stops Eve from standing up. Eve seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Gehlinho trying to control but Eve is working from the bottom. Gehlinho won't allow Eve to get back to his feet.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Gehlinho drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Gehlinho lands a couple of decent looking shots. Gehlinho postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gehlinho throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Eve works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Eve is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Gehlinho presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Gehlinho tries for a takedown. No joy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Eve breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Gehlinho drives through with a takedown into Eve's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Gehlinho has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Eve is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Gehlinho is controlling him. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gehlinho accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Gehlinho pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Eve is keeping the position for now. Eve pulls Gehlinho in close to his closed guard and prevents Gehlinho from doing any damage or advancing position. Gehlinho stops Eve from standing up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gehlinho has gone for a leg lock! Eve slips out almost immediately though and dives into Gehlinho's guard. Eve postures up.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Gehlinho is trying to hold Eve in close to prevent damage but Eve has managed to pass into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Michi Gehlinho will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Eve fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Gehlinho attempts a counter takedown but Eve avoids it well and moves away. Michi Gehlinho seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Eve shoots in and drives through. Gehlinho sprawls well. Gehlinho shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Gehlinho slows the pace down in half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gehlinho stops Eve from getting back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round. Eve wants to stand and escape but Gehlinho is having none of it. Gehlinho trying to control the position from guard on top but Eve is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Eve avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Eve keeping moving, preventing Gehlinho from controlling successfully.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Gehlinho throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Eve was covering up waiting for the punch and Gehlinho finishes the takedown easily into guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Eve can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Eve manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gehlinho manages to get himself to full guard.
Gehlinho looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Eve passes into side control.
Gehlinho throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Gehlinho throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Eve's waist but Eve gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gehlinho off to one side. Eve follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Gehlinho shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gehlinho slips a nice elbow through Eve's hands, connecting with Eve's forehead. Eve is looking to escape. Gehlinho wants to free his trapped foot but Eve is holding on for dear life with his legs. Eve is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Gehlinho's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Gehlinho's back! I would not like to be Gehlinho right now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gehlinho is really stuck here.
Eve tries to keep control of the position but Gehlinho is staying busy. Gehlinho tries to roll but Eve sticks to his back.
What can Gehlinho do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

That was a close second round but I would say that Michi Gehlinho will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Michi Gehlinho overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Gehlinho throws a sloppy strike and Eve has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm!
