Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between janis spalva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johannes Breccov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Breccov has chosen Gortoz a Ran as his entrance music. The key to victory for janis spalva has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, janis spalva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Johannes Breccov! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Daniel Bishop and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Breccov darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Breccov looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. spalva pushes Breccov off looking to stand but Breccov dives back in and keeps control.
spalva knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Breccov on the ground. Breccov is figuring out what he wants to do next. Breccov stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
That's one minute gone in the round. Breccov gets a takedown into half guard. spalva wants to stand back up but Breccov manages to pass into side control.
Breccov is staying tight to spalva's torso, preventing him from escaping. I looks like Breccov might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Breccov tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Breccov controls the position from side control. Breccov prevents spalva from escaping the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. spalva is working to avoid the ground and pound but Breccov connects with a decent elbow. Breccov scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at spalva to see if he's OK. spalva is trying to get back to his feet. Breccov working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Breccov remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Breccov tries to move into full mount but can't pass spalva's legs. spalva wants to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Johannes Breccov dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
The fighters circling - spalva throws out the jab but it was never going to land. spalva jabs at Breccov's body. Breccov tries to close the distance and clinch but spalva swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Breccov misses with a kick to the body.
Breccov shoots in but spalva avoids the takedown attempt easily. spalva has his takedown stuffed and Breccov counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Breccov stays in close to spalva's body and controls the position. Breccov stops spalva from standing up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Breccov is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. spalva is looking to stand up but Breccov isn't so interested in that idea. Breccov not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. spalva is working an open guard so Breccov takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Breccov drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Breccov content to stall in guard here. Breccov stands up and waves to spalva to follow him. Breccov fails in his attempt to clinch. Breccov fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. spalva sprawls well initially but Breccov persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Breccov seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Breccov is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for spalva! Breccov controlling the position easily from mount. Breccov swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
