Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Daniels (ranked 1975 p4p, 2631 weight class) and Atanase Teodor (ranked 242 p4p, 91 weight class). Teodor has chosen Billy Idol - Rebel Yell as his entrance music. Atanase Teodor has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Atanase Teodor!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daniels slips under a jab from Teodor.
Daniels wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Daniels takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Teodor throws a one two combo.

Daniels throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Teodor was covering up waiting for the punch and Daniels finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Daniels is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Daniels working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Daniels has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Teodor cracks a nice hook into Daniels's ribs.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Teodor.
Daniels needs to keep his hands up - Teodor had a free shot at his head there.
Daniels looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Daniels shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Teodor as he avoids it easily.

and Teodor cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Daniels tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Teodor was well out of range. Poor timing from Daniels.
It seemed like Teodor was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Teodor throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Daniels has been working on his balance at Desert Fitness & Training -13 Elites/1 Sensational, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Teodor.
Daniels shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Teodor as he jumps to the side.

Daniels closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Daniels shoots in looking for a takedown but Teodor manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Daniels's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Daniels dives in and grabs Teodor's left leg, looking for a takedown. Teodor pushes down on Daniels's head and hops out.

Teodor ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Daniels moves away.

Daniels has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Teodor after a bit of a struggle.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Daniels escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Teodor tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Teodor connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Oh Daniels is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Daniels takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Atanase Teodor is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Teodor connects with a single shot there.
Teodor swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Daniels fires out a quick counter leg kick but Teodor just manages to avoid it.
Daniels dives in for a single leg takedown but Teodor sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Teodor creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Teodor has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Daniels blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Daniels has Teodor pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Teodor manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Daniels is trying to drag Teodor to the mat but Teodor just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Atanase Teodor showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
