Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scotty DeGuardio!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Vladimir Khabensky and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ren shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
DeGuardio has his hands clasped together around Ren's back. He's all about the action.
DeGuardio wants to get back to full guard.
DeGuardio preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if DeGuardio can do anything to dispel that myth.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
DeGuardio is trying is best to control the position here.

DeGuardio working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ren doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but DeGuardio is tightening it up a little... Ren has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Ren reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Ren taps out! Nice BJJ there by DeGuardio!
