and Silva counters with an outside leg kick.

Lorenzon tries to get to full guard but Silva has control of the leg.
Silva uses his free foot to push down on Lorenzon's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Lorenzon.
Silva wants to finish this one by submission but Lorenzon is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Silva.
Lorenzon wants to control but Silva is having none of it.

Silva lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Silva closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Lorenzon is trying to get back to full guard.
Lorenzon is looking to control Silva's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Lorenzon avoid being mounted?
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
