Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ted Bundy (ranked 646 p4p, 719 weight class) and Tyson Cobb (ranked 17 p4p, 22 weight class). Ted Bundy has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ted Bundy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tyson Cobb!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Sam Margolis and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Cobb.
Tyson Cobb seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cobb misses with an uppercut

and Bundy counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Cobb is wriggling around but Bundy manages to pass to half guard.

Bundy content to control rather than advance.
Cobb is looking to escape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bundy seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Bundy is looking to advance position but Cobb won't allow it.
Bundy will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Cobb pushes Bundy off looking to stand but Bundy dives back in and keeps control.

Bundy tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Cobb defends well and Bundy ends up having to push Cobb into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Bundy seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Bundy isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Cobb stacks Bundy on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Cobb!

Cobb's coach down at Alpha Brasil was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Cobb's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Cobb misses with a hook.
A solid leg kick lands there for Cobb.

Bundy shoots for a takedown but Cobb saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Cobb has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Bundy feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Bundy shoots in looking for a takedown. Cobb tries to sprawl out of it but Bundy keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cobb manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Cobb ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bundy moves away.
Cobb scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Bundy avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Cobb feints and then cracks Bundy's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Bundy down.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

After the fight, Tyson Cobb was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
