The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Turner jabbing away but nothing is landing. Boom scores with a takedown into Turner's guard. Boom is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Turner throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Turner really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Boom. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Turner keeping moving, preventing Boom from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Boom is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Turner escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Boom gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boom stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Turner swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Turner throws a series of punches but Boom avoids them all with ease. Boom has managed to clinch.
Turner has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Boom avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Turner looks gassed! Boom turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Boom manages to end up in side control. Boom is trying to get an arm triangle but Turner is defending well. Turner is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Boom has hold of Turner's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Turner seems comfortable defending it but Boom has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Turner is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Turner is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Boom couldn't care less - he's delighted!
