Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chris Finch (ranked 5583 p4p, 6046 weight class) and Marcus Hughes (ranked 569 p4p, 600 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Finch! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marcus Hughes! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hughes shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hughes showed some decent athleticism there. Hughes scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Hughes in particular looking to stall. Hughes trying to control the action but Finch is working from the bottom. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Hughes looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Hughes working the head and body with strikes. Finch knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hughes on the ground. Hughes content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Finch is trying to get back to full guard. Hughes looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Hughes working the head and body with strikes. Finch on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Finch tries to get out of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hughes seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Finch does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Hughes controlling the action here. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Hughes winds up and cracks Finch with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Finch is rocked! Hughes lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Finch quite badly. Finch pulls Hughes in close trying to recover. Hughes postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Finch on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Finch doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marcus Hughes!
