Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sergei Ulatov (ranked 2919 p4p, 2445 weight class) and Altair Brain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brain has chosen 300 Violin as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sergei Ulatov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 34 - 21 - 2, fighting out of London, Altair Brain!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Phil Schofield and James Glass.

Ulatov gets a takedown into half guard.
Brain is holding on to half guard well.

Ulatov is working for a submission of some sort.
Brain is trying to control but can't.

Ulatov is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brain controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
Brain moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Ulatov wants to control from the top but Brain keeps moving.
Ulatov looking to pass the guard.

Ulatov decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Ulatov gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Brain counters with a lovely straight right hand!

and Brain cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

and Brain counters by clinching up.

Ulatov tries to pull guard but Brain forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Brain misses with a knee strike.
Brain lands a right hand that snaps the head of Ulatov backwards.
Ulatov takes an elbow to the temple.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Ulatov.
Brain lands a left hand.
Brain lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Ulatov turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Ulatov manages to end up in side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Brain is trying to get back to half guard.

Ulatov tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Ulatov goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Brain has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Ulatov but great work by Brain.

Brain trying to control the action but Ulatov is working from the bottom.
Ulatov is looking to regain half guard here but Brain keeps moving and retains side control.
A lull in the action here as Brain stalls from top position.
Ulatov is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Brain off and has taken his back!

Ulatov controlling well, preventing Brain from escaping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ulatov looking to finish the fight with a rear naked choke. Brain is controlling Ulatov 's left arm and he spins nicely into guard.

Ulatov is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Brain is aware though and is defending well.

Ulatov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Brain can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Ulatov can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Brain controls the pace.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Ulatov moves out of range of the body kick.
Ulatov blocks a head kick by Brain.
Ulatov darts in looking for a takedown but Brain gets double underhooks and turns Ulatov into the cage.
Ulatov looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Brain is fending him off so far but Ulatov persists. Nope, Brain circles away and we're back to standing.

and Ulatov takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sergei Ulatov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ulatov tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Brain defends well and Ulatov ends up having to push Brain into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Ulatov closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Brain's guard.

Ulatov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brain swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Brain is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

Ulatov is trying to control the action in half guard but Brain is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Ulatov is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Brain doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ulatov.
Ulatov wants to stand but Brain has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Brain gets back to full guard.
Ulatov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brain swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Ulatov passes Brain's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Ulatov is looking for a kimura here.

Ulatov is trying to work for a kimura but Brain is defending well.
Ulatov is looking to stall here but Brain recovers full guard.

Ulatov drops back, looking for a kneebar! Brain looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Brain looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Brain!

Ulatov is trying to improve his position.
Brain is looking to take a break and control but Ulatov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Brain is staying tight to Ulatov's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Brain has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Ulatov tries to bench press Brain off him but Brain keeps the position.
Ulatov is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Brain's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Brain moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Ulatov.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Ulatov manages to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Altair Brain showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Ulatov's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Ulatov moves into full mount!

Ulatov swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Brain is now in Ulatov's guard. A big mistake from Ulatov there, giving up the dominant position!

Ulatov has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Brain is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Ulatov.

Altair Brain is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Ulatov tries to buck Brain off but Brain is having none of it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Ulatov is working hard here to advance position.
Brain lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Brain keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Brain connects with a crisp jab.
Brain scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Ulatov doesn't seem bothered though.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ulatov is defended easily by Brain.
Ulatov dives in and grabs Brain's left leg, looking for a takedown. Brain pushes down on Ulatov's head and hops out.

Ulatov takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Brain uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Ulatov has time to react.

and Brain counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Altair Brain comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Brain has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
