Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rikshaar Das (ranked 4278 p4p, 2681 weight class) and Tito The Snake (ranked 367 p4p, 266 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rikshaar Das! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tito The Snake! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Anni Minnemäki and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The Snake fails with a takedown attempt. Das lands with a slapping head kick. Das throws a quick head kick that skims the top of The Snake's head. The Snake with a jab. Das moves out of range of the body kick. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from The Snake. Das thinks about countering with a head kick. Das is looking to take this fight into the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The Snake blocks a head kick by Das.
Das misses with a wild body shot. The Snake fails with a takedown attempt. Rikshaar Das has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tito The Snake. The Snake takes a kick to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Das lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. The Snake scores with a nice right hand.
Das displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from The Snake. The Snake shoots in for a takedown but Das shows good takedown defense. The Snake will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Das cracks The Snake with a good jab. The Snake stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Das. The Snake scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Das throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Das throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

The Snake tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Das defends well and The Snake ends up having to push Das into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Das throws a leg kick and The Snake counters with a shoot takedown. Das fights it but they end up in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The Snake decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Das, up you get! A nice leg kick from Das, right into the meat of the thigh.
Nice sprawl there from Das as The Snake shoots in. It looked like Das was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from The Snake. Das leaves The Snake with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Das throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

The Snake looks like he wants to counter punch here. A head kick misses from Das. Das moves out of range of the strikes. The Snake blocks a head kick by Das.
Rikshaar Das seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The Snake scores with a jab to the jaw. The Snake steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Das. The Snake tries a head kick but it misses.
The Snake throws a sloppy head kick and Das moves out of range easily. Das throws a counter high kick but The Snake was just alert enough to avoid it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Das throws a combination but it was largely blocked by The Snake. The Snake tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Das defends well and The Snake ends up having to push Das into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Das throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Sloppy strikes from Das. Those never looked like landing. Das will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. We've been informed that The Snake has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. The Snake misses with a double jab.
The Snake shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than The Snake was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Das is looking to work his way out of this bad position but The Snake is controlling him well. Das is breathing heavily. The Snake is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Das is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Das really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. The Snake working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The Snake tries to move into full mount but can't pass Das's legs. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. The Snake tries to advance to mount but Das denies him. The Snake thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The Snake sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Das is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Rikshaar Das dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The Snake shoots in looking for a takedown but Das manages to keep the fight standing, pushing The Snake's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Das tries to clinch but The Snake is having none of it. The Snake will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Das looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. The Snake keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
The Snake changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. The Snake shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Das but Das pushes him off and we're back to square one. Rikshaar Das has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tito The Snake. Das tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Das moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromThe Snake. Das misses with a head kick.

and The Snake counters by moving into the clinch. Das is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but The Snake is keeping busy. The Snake tries to score a body lock takedown but Das shows good agility there to stay on his feet. The Snake tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Das just stands there and leans against the cage. The Snake is pushing Das up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. A frustrated look appears on The Snake's face as he tries to break the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. The Snake is trying to break free. Das prevents The Snake from breaking the clinch. The Snake on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as The Snake takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. The Snake fails to pull guard.
The Snake jumps into guard, dragging Das to the mat.
Das throws a big elbow that misses. The Snake controls Das momentarily but Das frees himself. The Snake pulls Das in close to prevent any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Das pushes down on The Snake's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Das trying to control the action but The Snake is working from the bottom. Das decides to stand up. Das connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. The Snake looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. The Snake avoids the head kick by Das.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! The Snake misses with a wild body shot. Das shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with The Snake but The Snake pushes him off and we're back to square one. The Snake misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Rikshaar Das will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round! The Snake blocks a head kick by Das.

He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Das's guard. The Snake controls the pace of the fight for a moment. The Snake is continuing to stall. The Snake stands up and waves to Das to follow him.

The Snake lands with an uppercut that bounces Das off the cage and back into range. Das tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. The Snake manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Das swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Das misses with the body kick and The Snake counters with a lovely straight right hand! The Snake changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Das tries to avoid it but The Snake manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Das to the ground. Das escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Das bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Das moves out of range of the body kick from The Snake.
The Snake jabs Das right on the nose. Das blinks but takes it well. Das throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Das goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Das misses with a jab, cross combination.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Das displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from The Snake. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The Snake throws a leg kick that misses. Das misses with a head kick.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. The Snake misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Das's hands are dropping dangerously low here and The Snake connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Das scrambles back to his feet. The Snake shoots in looking for a takedown. Das tries to sprawl out of it but The Snake keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Das manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Rikshaar Das has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tito The Snake. Das throws a body shot but no joy. Das looks for the body kick but The Snake saw that one coming. Das scores with a kick to the midsection.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Das throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
The Snake dives in and grabs Das's left leg, looking for a takedown. Das pushes down on The Snake's head and hops out. Rikshaar Das is winning the standup battle so far. Das goes for a high kick. It partially lands. The Snake takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Rikshaar Das is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Das throws a low kick but The Snake moves out of range easily. The Snake shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. The Snake throws a sloppy head kick and Das moves out of range easily. Crunch! Das slams his shin into The Snake's torso. The Snake shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Das sprawls well. Das wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. The Snake gets slowly back to his feet. The Snake uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Das.
The Snake throws a jab but it's blocked by Das.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The Snake tries for a takedown but Das sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. The Snake dives in and scores a takedown into Das's guard. Das wriggles free and stands up. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The Snake sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. A good leg kick by Das. The Snake shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Das as he avoids it easily. The Snake shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Das pinned against the cage. Das gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Das connects with a leg kick.
And that's the end of the fight! Rikshaar Das showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Das, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
