Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tony Sinclair (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Felix Ortega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Ortega's choice of entrance music: Hold Your Color - Pendulum. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ortega fails in his attempt to clinch.
Sinclair on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Sinclair has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Sinclair there as he acknowledges the shot.
Sinclair throws the kick towards the body but Ortega avoids it.
Sinclair fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Sinclair will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Ortega throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sinclair sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Sinclair shoots for a takedown but Ortega saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Ortega tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Ortega is taking a breather. Sinclair says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Ortega drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ortega jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Ortega slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Sinclair.
Sinclair flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Ortega is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Sinclair misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Sinclair fails in his attempt to clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ortega looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Sinclair missing with a left hand there. Ortega was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Ortega is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sinclair.
Felix Ortega seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Ortega lands a shot to the body.
Ortega fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Sinclair wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Ortega has him pressed against the ropes.

Ortega is pressed up against the ropes. Sinclair has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Ortega down to the mat. Ortega avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
The crowd cheers as Ortega lands an impressive looking overhand right. Sinclair doesn't seem phased though.
Ortega cracks Sinclair with a good jab.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Sinclair. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Ortega throws a leg kick but Sinclair moved away.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ortega fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sinclair manages to avoid it.

and Sinclair counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Ortega!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Sinclair closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Sinclair lands in his opponent's guard.

Ortega is looking for a triangle but Sinclair pushes his legs off easily.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
