Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tapu Koko (ranked 146 p4p, 233 weight class) and Ivan Krylov (ranked 27 p4p, 41 weight class). Koko comes to the cage accompanied by Aotearoa. The key to victory for Tapu Koko has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tapu Koko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ivan Krylov!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Alexandre Firmino and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Koko misses with a body punch.
Koko's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Krylov throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Krylov is working for takedown but Koko is calmly controlling the position for now.
Krylov drops down looking for an ankle pick but Koko pulls his leg out and moves away.
Good standup being displayed there by Koko as he connects with a hook.
It looks like Ivan Krylov has been cut.
Koko is looking to score with low kicks.
Krylov changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Krylov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Koko as he avoids it easily.
Tapu Koko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ivan Krylov.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Koko fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Krylov to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Krylov looks to clinch but Koko throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Krylov taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Tapu Koko!
Tapu Koko bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
