Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Juventa Arroyo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Izzy Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Izzy Davis!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Thiago Cunha and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Arroyo gets a takedown into half guard.
Arroyo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Davis on the ground.
Arroyo is looking to take a break and control but Davis is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Davis is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Davis is looking to control Arroyo's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Davis avoid being mounted?
Davis won't allow Arroyo to pass to mount.
Davis tries to roll over but Arroyo keeps him under control.

and Arroyo counters with a nice double leg into side control. Davis won't be happy with that.

Davis is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Arroyo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Davis keeps working.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Davis is trying to control Arroyo's posture but Arroyo avoids it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Davis wants to improve his position but Arroyo is controlling well.

Arroyo has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Davis tries to lock up and control but Arroyo gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Juventa Arroyo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Davis has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Arroyo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That was a close second round but I would say that Juventa Arroyo will probably get the nod.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Davis had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Arroyo is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Davis Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Arroyo's back instead.
Davis is not going to allow Arroyo to sit and survive in this position.

It looks like Juventa Arroyo has been cut.

Davis lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Juventa Arroyo.
Well Arroyo has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
