Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dog Shagger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ainakea Mafua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ainakea Mafua will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shagger tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Mafua shoots in for a takedown but Shagger shows good takedown defense.
Shagger throws a nice looking combination but Mafua bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Horrible takedown by Mafua or perhaps it was just good defense by Shagger which made him look bad.

Mafua shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Shagger but Shagger pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Mafua goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Shagger turns into him and now he's in Mafua's guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Dog Shagger will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Shagger tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mafua paws at him with a jab and circles away.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Mafua shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Shagger as he avoids it easily.
Mafua closes this distance looking for a takedown but Shagger circles away.
Shagger misses with a takedown attempt - Mafua sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Mafua is looking to work some ground and pound but Shagger has wrist control.
Shagger is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Shagger is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Ainakea Mafua has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Mafua drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mafua jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Mafua drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Shagger dives on top into guard.

Mafua had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Shagger is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Mafua Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Shagger's back instead.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Even with his hooks in, Mafua manages to miss with strikes from the back.
And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Ainakea Mafua.
Well Shagger has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
