Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nate Masvidal (ranked 1529 p4p, 1539 weight class) and Jeffery Berwick (ranked 224 p4p, 226 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeffery Berwick!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Albert Achterberg and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Masvidal throws an overhand right that lands on Berwick's shoulder, as Berwick tries to avoid the shot.
Berwick unleashes a big counter combination but Masvidal bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Masvidal scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Masvidal tests Berwick's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Masvidal throws a hook to the side of Berwick's head but Berwick sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
It seemed like Berwick was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Berwick has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
