Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tony McCowan (ranked 2420 p4p, 6002 weight class) and Nikola Tesla (ranked 285 p4p, 547 weight class). Nikola Tesla is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tony McCowan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nikola Tesla!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Robert Douchet and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tesla fails to land the takedown.
An attempted straight right counter from McCowan misses the target.
Tesla misses with a right hand
and McCowan counters with a stiff right hand.
Tesla is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Tesla closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Tesla has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Tesla falls off balance throwing a combination
and McCowan counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
McCowan throws a shot to the body.
Tesla throws an off balance right hand
and McCowan counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Tesla swings widly with a right hand
and Tesla takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Tesla looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Tesla throws a lazy uppercut
letting McCowan counter with a right hand.
Tesla is rocked!
McCowan drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Tesla's head, knocking him out cold! McCowan is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tony McCowan!
