Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Smirnoff (ranked 2493 p4p, 3421 weight class) and Beau Lauzon (ranked 317 p4p, 422 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Lauzon's choice of entrance music: Vitamin R (Leading Us Along) by Chevelle. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Beau Lauzon!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Elvis Blanc and Trevor Gratis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smirnoff lands a glancing blow to the side of Lauzon's head.
Lauzon misses with a body kick.
As Lauzon looks to move away, Smirnoff throws a big counter combo but Lauzon just gets out of the way.
Lauzon takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Lauzon misses with an uppercut
and Smirnoff makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Lauzon throws an off balance right hand
and Smirnoff counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Lauzon changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Smirnoff tries to avoid it but Lauzon manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Smirnoff to the ground. Smirnoff escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Smirnoff throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lauzon.
Beau Lauzon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smirnoff throws a jab when Lauzon was well out of range.
Smirnoff checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Smirnoff fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Smirnoff drops Lauzon with a beautiful combination! Lauzon stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Smirnoff is looking for the KO!

Lauzon is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lauzon leaves his chin hanging out and Smirnoff seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Lauzon crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Vladimir Smirnoff!
Vladimir Smirnoff tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
