And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 1 losses; Bart Cubbedge ! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Cubbedge closes the distance and clinches. Horse can't get the takedown.

Cubbedge keeping moving, preventing Horse from controlling successfully. Horse seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Cubbedge has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at CT. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cubbedge throws his legs up looking for a submission but Horse uses it to pass to side control.

That's one minute gone in the round. Cubbedge is not content to let Horse control the position. Horse gets to mount! Cubbedge was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Score +2 for reaching mount: Horse (5) vs (0) Cubbedge Horse controlling his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cubbedge is trying desperately to improve position. Horse looking to control but Cubbedge is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Cubbedge keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Horse content just to control the position here. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Horse trying to control but he's not successful this time. Cubbedge bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Horse (5) vs (2) Cubbedge Horse looking for a sweep. Not yet Horse, not yet. Horse is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Cubbedge defends well.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Cubbedge trying to control but Horse is working from the bottom. Horse keeping full guard, as Cubbedge tries to pass. Cubbedge is fighting to break Horse's control of his arms but Horse is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Horse is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Horse looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Horse wants to hit a sweep here but Cubbedge passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Horse there! Score +3 for passing guard: Horse (5) vs (5) Cubbedge Horse can't escape the position.
Cubbedge wants to take Horse's back here but Horse is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Cubbedge tries to control but Horse wriggling away. Horse wants to control but Cubbedge is having none of it. Horse really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Cubbedge takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. Horse slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Horse trying to control from the bottom.
Horse is pressing down on Cubbedge 's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Horse manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Cubbedge manages to get himself to full guard.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Horse in particular looking to stall. Cubbedge wants to improve his position but Horse is controlling well.

That's eleven minutes gone in the round. Horse controlling from the full mount. Horse seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Cubbedge for as long as he can get away with. Horse wants to control the pace but Cubbedge is squirming around nicely. Horse can't control as he wanted to and Cubbedge manages to get the fight back to his half guard. Horse keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
That's twelve minutes gone in the round. Cubbedge has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Horse is working away from the top position though. Cubbedge is not content to let Horse control the position. Cubbedge is looking to improve his position.
That's thirteen minutes gone in the round. Horse trying to control from half guard but Cubbedge is working away. Cubbedge wants to get back to full guard. Horse passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Cubbedge ! Score +3 for passing guard: Horse (13) vs (5) Cubbedge Cubbedge wants to control but Horse is having none of it.
That's fourteen minutes gone in the round. Cubbedge is squirming around, avoiding Horse's attempts to control the action. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Cubbedge regains half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Horse prevents Cubbedge from improving his position.
And that's the end of the fight! Horse takes the fight on points by 13 to 5. Crazy Horse gave a mention to UnderGround Supplements in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales). |
