Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Junichi Sasai (ranked 2003 p4p, 3672 weight class) and Christopher Nibbs (ranked 262 p4p, 449 weight class). Sasai comes to the cage accompanied by I Love Trash. Christopher Nibbs acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Junichi Sasai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Christopher Nibbs!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sasai uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Nibbs.
A left lands for Sasai.
Nibbs moves out of range of the strikes.
Nibbs looks for a takedown but Sasai sprawls well.
Nibbs ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sasai moves away.
Nibbs takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Sasai scores with a sloppy right hand. Nibbs should have avoided that one.

Nibbs thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Nibbs prevents Sasai from standing back up.
Sasai has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Nibbs is looking for a kimura but Sasai is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Nibbs to get the leverage.
Nibbs wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sasai keeps working.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Nibbs takes one on the button.
Sasai with a jab.
Nibbs jabs Sasai to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Sasai lands a lovely overhand right.
Sasai scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Sasai just misses with a punch to the body.
Sasai misses with a body shot.
Nibbs swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Nibbs wants to clinch.

Sasai just misses with a punch to the body.
Nibbs shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sasai but Sasai pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Sasai misses with a hook
and Nibbs counters with a straight right hand.
Sasai connects with a looping right hand.
Sasai fails to land with a series of punches.
Sasai lands a nice hook to Nibbs's body. Nibbs takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Nibbs gets a double leg takedown into Sasai's guard.
Nibbs trying to control the position from guard on top but Sasai is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Nibbs trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Nibbs is standing up over Sasai. Sasai looks to escape but Nibbs dives into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nibbs tries for a kimura but Sasai is defending well.
Nibbs working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sasai is trying to get back to his feet.
Sasai is letting Nibbs control him for a moment.
Sasai is not content to let Nibbs control the position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Junichi Sasai dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Nibbs uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sasai.
Nibbs closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Sasai misses with a wild body shot.
Nibbs is looking to clinch.
Nibbs keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Nibbs fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Sasai lands a really nice looking cross but Nibbs seems unphased.
Nibbs ducks under a wild hook from Sasai.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nibbs slips a straight right by Sasai.
Nibbs misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sasai uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Nibbs has time to react.
Nibbs shoots in for a takedown but Sasai shows good takedown defense.
Nibbs takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Nibbs lands with a good body shot.
Sasai scores with a crisp jab that stopped Nibbs in his tracks.

Sasai lands a big uppercut and Nibbs crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Nibbs looks OK. Sasai waves Nibbs back to his feet!

Nibbs is rocked!
Sasai moves in close and cracks Nibbs with a massive right hand! Nibbs, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Sasai!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Junichi Sasai!
Junichi Sasai was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
