PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zahbit Lovanov (ranked 23565 p4p, 4067 weight class) and Sokhan Gaki (ranked 580 p4p, 421 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zahbit Lovanov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sokhan Gaki!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gaki cracks Lovanov with an open hand slap.
Gaki swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Lovanov shoots in looking for a takedown. Gaki tries to sprawl out of it but Lovanov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gaki manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Lovanov shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gaki sprawls well. Gaki wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lovanov gets slowly back to his feet.

That was a close second round but I would say that Zahbit Lovanov will probably get the nod.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lovanov, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
