Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dilon Goncalves (ranked 2894 p4p, 2886 weight class) and Ezekiel Ithamar (ranked 289 p4p, 287 weight class). Goncalves comes to the cage accompanied by TAPOUT. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dilon Goncalves!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ezekiel Ithamar!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ithamar shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ithamar showed some decent athleticism there.

Ithamar working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Goncalves doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Goncalves manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Ithamar had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Goncalves defends it easily.

Goncalves thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Ithamar drops back, looking for a kneebar! Goncalves looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Goncalves looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Goncalves!

Ithamar tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Goncalves wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Goncalves has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Ithamar is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Goncalves yanks on the arm and Ithamar is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Goncalves.
