Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Sebastian Bach! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Martin Salcedo! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Joseph Jones and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Salcedo misses with a body kick. Salcedo stuffs the takedown attempt from Bach. Bach gets slowly back to his feet. Bach blocks the body kick.

Bach misses with a takedown attempt - Salcedo sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Bach uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Salcedo. Bach throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Bach has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Salcedo throws a leg kick which misses Bach's front leg but catches the back leg as Bach tries to avoid it. Bach dives in and grabs Salcedo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Salcedo pushes down on Bach's head and hops out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sebastian Bach. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Salcedo lands with a slapping head kick.
It looks like Sebastian Bach has been cut. Bach tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Salcedo defends well and Bach ends up having to push Salcedo into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Salcedo manages to break the clinch.
Bach shoots for a double leg takedown but Salcedo sprawls well. He's pushed Bach's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Salcedo misses with a wild combination.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bach looks for a takedown but Salcedo sprawls well. Bach shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Salcedo as he jumps to the side. Bach ducks under a wild hook from Salcedo. Sebastian Bach seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A telegraphed right hand from Salcedo misses the target. Bach drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bach wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Salcedo, who protects the arm well. Bach working the body and head with strikes. Salcedo is not content to let Bach control the position. Salcedo is trying to get back to his feet. Salcedo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bach. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bach is looking to take a break and control but Salcedo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Bach happy to just control the position for now. Salcedo is trying to buck Bach off. Bach tries to move to mount but Salcedo blocks the move with his legs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Salcedo pushes Bach away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Bach gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Bach has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Salcedo is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Bach yanks on the arm and Salcedo is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Bach.
