The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rykov throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Borges stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Borges takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Rykov cracks Borges with an uppercut from hell and Borges crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Rykov's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
It looks like Jorge Luis Borges has been cut.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Borges tries to close the distance and clinch but Rykov swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Rykov lands a nice hook to Borges's body. Borges takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Rykov fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Borges to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Borges looks to clinch but Rykov throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Borges taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
