Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

Murphi with a lazy takedown attempt
and Shankle counters with a right hand to the body.
Murphi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Shankle sprawls well. Shankle wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Murphi gets slowly back to his feet.

Dustin Shankle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Franco Murphi.

Shankle uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Murphi has time to react.
Shankle paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Murphi misses with a takedown attempt - Shankle sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Shankle is looking to counter punch.

That has opened up Franco Murphi's cut even more.
Murphi takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

and Shankle counters with a crisp right hand that drops Murphi! Shankle lets Murphi back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Franco Murphi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
