Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between John Brophy (ranked 3914 p4p, 23077 weight class) and King Tua (ranked 493 p4p, 687 weight class). Brophy comes to the ring accompanied by Last Caress - Metallica. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 38 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, John Brophy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 1, fighting out of New York, King Tua!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Fujiwara and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brophy scoring well with a low kick there.
Brophy drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Brophy misses with a low kick.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Tua.
Brophy pivots, looking for a leg kick but Tua is out of range and Brophy settles back down.
Tua dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Brophy. That did some damage!
Tua looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Tua displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Brophy throws out the jab.
Tua misses with a shot to the body
and Tua takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Brophy throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Tua buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
King Tua seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A head kick by Brophy misses
and Tua connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Brophy's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Tua connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Brophy scrambles back to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tua lands a nice leg kick that just misses Brophy's sensitive parts.

It looked like Brophy wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Brophy lands a really nice looking cross but Tua seems unphased.
Tua lands with a thumping leg kick.
Tua uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Brophy has time to react.

Brophy loads up on a big right hand but Tua slips the punch.

and Brophy cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Tua lands with a nice body punch.
Tua throws out a leg kick but Brophy moves out of range and Tua only half commits.
Brophy swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Tua pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Brophy pushes Tua away with a front kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Tua throws a hook but Brophy blocks it.
Tua looks to land a left hand but Brophy moved out of range nicely.

and Tua takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Brophy takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Tua scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
A low kick lands for Brophy.

Brophy avoids the body shot from Tua.
Tua has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.

Some bone on bone action there as Tua checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Tua fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Brophy.

and Brophy counters with a nice uppercut.
Tua jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Tua works the jab nicely.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Brophy on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Tua connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Tua dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Brophy. That did some damage!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but King Tua will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action!
Brophy scores a knockdown with a big right hand! Tua beats the count and gets back to his feet. The referee asks him to walk forwards and it appears he is OK so we'll continue the bout.

and Brophy counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Tua is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Tua misses with a telegraphed body shot
and before Tua has any time to reset, Brophy cracks him with a big right hand that drops him face first to the canvas! He's hurt! I don't think he's going to get back up from that one! He's trying but he's doing the chicken dance and has face planted into to ropes, causing the referee to bring this fight to an end! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:17 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). John Brophy!
