Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Andre Mahesa (ranked 2169 p4p, 2164 weight class) and Denis Denisov (ranked 122 p4p, 120 weight class). Mahesa's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, You're Going Down . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Denisov gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Mahesa really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Mahesa gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Denisov.

Mahesa goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Denisov tries to land a knee to the head but Mahesa blocks with his arms.
Denisov jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mahesa walks away with a smile on his face. Denisov gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Denisov throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mahesa stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Denisov jumps guard but Mahesa stands there with Denisov around his waist. Denisov gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Mahesa misses with a hook from the clinch.

Denisov jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mahesa walks away with a smile on his face. Denisov gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Mahesa looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Denisov clinches.
Denisov goes for a takedown in the clinch but Mahesa prevents it.
Denisov is trying to pull guard but Mahesa turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Denisov tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Mahesa can't find room to land a body shot as Denisov controls the action.

Denisov works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Denisov wants to control from the top but Mahesa keeps moving.
Denisov postures up and lands a big shot to Mahesa's brow.
Denisov is working Mahesa over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Denisov is standing up over Mahesa. Mahesa looks to escape but Denisov dives into side control.
Mahesa is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Mahesa tries to buck Denisov off but Denisov is having none of it.
Mahesa pushes Denisov away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Denisov gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Denisov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Mahesa is not content to let Denisov control the position.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Denisov working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

Denisov wants to control but Mahesa is keeping him busy.
Denisov connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Mahesa some visible discomfort.

Oh Mahesa is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Denisov cracks Mahesa with a big right hand but Mahesa just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Denisov lands a strong strike to the head of Mahesa. That's dazed him! Denisov looking to finish here. Mahesa is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Denisov lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
