Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chris Cripple (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Waldlow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Robert Waldlow enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chris Cripple!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Robert Waldlow!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Steve Erwin and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Waldlow lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Cripple closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Cripple tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Cripple avoids the strikes from the bottom by Waldlow.
Waldlow is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Waldlow is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Cripple's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Waldlow is looking to improve his position.

Cripple is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Waldlow sees it coming and defends easily.
Cripple seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Cripple seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Waldlow does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Waldlow is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Cripple is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Waldlow doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Cripple.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Waldlow manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Cripple is squirming around, avoiding Waldlow's attempts to control the action.
Cripple might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Waldlow is thwarting Cripple's attempts to control the position.

Cripple gets full guard.

Cripple working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Waldlow doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Waldlow manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Cripple escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Waldlow gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Cripple is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Waldlow works over Cripple with some ground and pound from guard.
Cripple wants to hit a switch here but Waldlow passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Cripple there!

Cripple shoots in and drives through. Waldlow sprawls well.
Waldlow lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Waldlow.
Cripple on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Waldlow. Waldlow obviously looking to wear him down.
Waldlow throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Waldlow plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Waldlow gets caught flat footed, as Cripple shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Cripple wants to control from the top but Waldlow keeps moving.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Waldlow is on top in guard.

Cripple looking for a guillotine here but Waldlow defends easily.

Cripple had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Waldlow is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Cripple Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Waldlow's back instead.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Waldlow breaks Cripple's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Waldlow in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Cripple looking for a guillotine here but Waldlow defends easily.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Waldlow accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Waldlow connects with a high kick.
Waldlow lands with an overhand left.
Waldlow scores with a body shot.
Waldlow lands with a kick to the temple. Cripple shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Cripple looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Waldlow!
Waldlow is wriggling around trying to escape.

Cripple looking to finish Waldlow with some ground and pound. This is bad for Waldlow!
Waldlow throwing hammer fists to the chest of Cripple. What's that going to do exactly?
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Cripple cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Cripple scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Waldlow tries to improve his position but Cripple has taken his back! Cripple has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Waldlow tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Cripple pushes Waldlow away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Chris Cripple!
