Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dean Worish (ranked 2822 p4p, 4507 weight class) and Darken Stormy (ranked 372 p4p, 541 weight class). Darken Stormy will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dean Worish!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Darken Stormy!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Illya Tyunina and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Worish takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

It looks like Dean Worish has been cut.
A big left from Stormy misses.
Stormy throws a hook but Worish avoids it easily.
Worish is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Stormy.
A lazy left from Stormy finds it's target.

Worish instigates a clinch.
Stormy is trying to break free.
Stormy is trying to break the clinch but Worish is controlling him.
Worish is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Stormy gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Stormy misses with a short punch on the inside.
Worish keeps control of Stormy as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Worish tries for a takedown. No joy.

Worish gets a trip takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Worish is taking a breather. Stormy says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Worish is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Worish sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stormy is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Worish takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Worish wants to finish this one by submission but Stormy is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Worish.

Worish is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Stormy has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Worish controlling his opponent.

Worish working for a submission but Stormy is keeping him at bay.
Worish controlling the pace for now.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Dean Worish dominated that round.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Worish shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Stormy manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Worish won't allow Stormy to get back to his feet.
Worish passes Stormy's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Worish sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Worish moves nicely into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Worish is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Stormy is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Worish tries for a kimura but Stormy is defending well.
Worish controls the position from side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Worish has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Worish moves into full mount!
Worish content just to control the position here.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Worish.
Worish is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Stormy can do to turn this around?

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Stormy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Worish. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Stormy defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Worish.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Worish controlling from mount.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Dean Worish's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Worish forces Stormy back against the cage and clinches.
Stormy tries to work over Worish's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Stormy misses with some punches.
Stormy swings wildly with an uppercut but Worish uses good head movement to avoid it.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Stormy swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Stormy misses with a body punch.
Stormy is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Worish's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Worish has hold of one of Stormy's legs. Stormy is fighting the takedown attempt but Worish gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Worish slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Worish controls the position.

Worish passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Stormy!
Worish looking to control and managing it successfully.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Worish continues to hold on tight.

Darken Stormy has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Worish is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Stormy to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Stormy shrugs it off.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Worish looking to control and managing it successfully.
Dean Worish is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Dean Worish showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Worish, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
