Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Walter Cren!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Takashi Murakami!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murakami dodges the punch combination from Cren.
Cren misses with a double jab.
Walter Cren seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cren fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Murakami manages to avoid it.
Cren looks to land a combination. Murakami sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Cren scores with a jab to the head.
Cren will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Murakami bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cren is looking to regain half guard here but Murakami keeps moving and retains side control.

Murakami tries for a kimura but Cren is defending well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Both fighters take a look at the clock.
Murakami controlling the position from side mount.
Murakami wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cren keeps working.

Murakami looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Cren looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Murakami tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Murakami is looking to take a break and control but Cren is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Cren controls the position for a moment.
Cren on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Cren tries to get out of the position.

Murakami tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Murakami wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cren keeps working.

Murakami is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Cren knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Cren knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Murakami on the ground.
Murakami slows the pace down.

Murakami looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Murakami is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Cren is trying to escape and Murakami transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Cren is forced to tap! Nice work there by Murakami! Very nice indeed!
