Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Billy Kimber (ranked 4014 p4p, 4971 weight class) and Danilo Meccini (ranked 499 p4p, 578 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Meccini's choice of entrance music: The Hammer. Danilo Meccini will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Danilo Meccini!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Ivan Kurochkin and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meccini looks for a takedown but Kimber sprawls well.
Kimber closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Meccini tries to buck Kimber off but Kimber is having none of it.
Meccini felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Meccini can't do much from the bottom here.
Meccini is not content to let Kimber control the position.
Kimber working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kimber is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Meccini is trying to escape and Kimber transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Meccini is forced to tap! Nice work there by Kimber! Very nice indeed!
