Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Skipper Eureka (ranked 6559 p4p, 24133 weight class) and Akira Kumajin (ranked 210 p4p, 230 weight class). Kumajin has chosen Akira the Wild - Devilman Crybaby OST as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Akira Kumajin enters the ring!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Skipper Eureka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Akira Kumajin!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Robert Douchet and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kumajin tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Kumajin throws a body punch but Eureka moves out of range.
Eureka fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kumajin manages to avoid it.
Eureka scores with a hook.
A big right from Kumajin misses.
Kumajin jabs Eureka to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Eureka bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Kumajin's head.
Kumajin swings widly with a right hand
and Eureka cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Eureka misses with an attempted mid kick.
Eureka lands with a good body shot.
Eureka moves away from the strike by Kumajin.

Eureka misses with the combination.
It seemed like Kumajin was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Eureka stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Kumajin takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Eureka slips under a jab from Kumajin.
Eureka is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Kumajin.
Kumajin checks a leg kick nicely.
Kumajin appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Eureka definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Kumajin lunges at Eureka with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Eureka's hand.

It looks like Skipper Eureka has been cut.

Eureka scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kumajin doesn't seem bothered though.

and Kumajin cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Kumajin drops a shoulder and throws a biiiig uppercut that drops Eureka onto his butt! Eureka pops straight back to his feet to convince the referee that he's OK to continue.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kumajin takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Having scored a knockdown, Akira Kumajin should take round 1, putting pressure on his opponene back strong in round 2.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Kumajin drops a shoulder and throws a biiiig uppercut that drops Eureka onto his butt! Eureka pops straight back to his feet to convince the referee that he's OK to continue.

Skipper Eureka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A slapping leg kick lands for Eureka.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Eureka connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Eureka throws out a head kick that Kumajin doesn't see coming - it connects and sends Kumajin crashing to the mat face first! He's bounced up to his knees and is scrambling to get back to his feet and beat the count. He's up on 5 but still looks a bit groggy; will the referee allow it to continue??? He's taking a good look into Kumajin's eyes and has decided to let it go on!

Eureka throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Eureka misses with a series of wild punches.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Kumajin! But no joy.
Eureka sizes up Kumajin with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

and Eureka counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Eureka is trying to break the clinch but Kumajin is controlling him.

Kumajin lands a left hand that snaps the head of Eureka backwards.

Eureka breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kumajin throws a shot from downtown. Eureka moves away and avoids it.
Eureka throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Kumajin throws an overhand right that lands on Eureka's shoulder, as Eureka tries to avoid the shot.
Kumajin swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Kumajin misses with a looping left.
Eureka jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.

Eureka darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Eureka looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
It seemed like Kumajin was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Eureka feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Kumajins jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kumajin throws a hook but Eureka avoids it easily.

Eureka catches his opponent with a big hook that sends him to the canvas! Kumajin stumbles back to his feet but will the referee allow it to continue? Kumajin walks forwards and this one will be allowed to continue! Come on!

Kumajin is rocked!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Skipper Eureka takes the second round having scored more knockdowns than his opponent, during that very entertaining back round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Eureka lands with a nice body punch.

Eureka catches his opponent with a big hook that sends him to the canvas! Kumajin stumbles back to his feet but will the referee allow it to continue? Kumajin walks forwards and this one will be allowed to continue! Come on!
Kumajin is still on wobbly legs! Can Eureka finish him?
Eureka connects with a solid leg kick.
Kumajin seems to have recovered his senses.
Eureka throws a head kick but Kumajin moves out of range.
Eureka misses with a body kick.
Kumajin throws a lazy right hand but Eureka sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Eureka was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Eureka thows a body kick. Kumajin tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Eureka lands a jab to the head.
Kumajin misses with a right hand
and Eureka makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Kumajin takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Eureka connects with an inside leg kick.
An inside leg kick lands from Eureka.
Eureka fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kumajin has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Eureka lands a right hook to the body.
Eureka chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Eureka connects with an inside leg kick.
Eureka connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Kumajin's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
A big left from Kumajin misses.
Eureka plants his feet and throws a devastating head kick! It connects square on Kumajin's ear and has knocked him out cold! No need for a count here as the referee immediately tends to a stricken Kumajin, crumpled in the corner! Wow, what a finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Skipper Eureka!
