Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kendrick Chromium (ranked 23001 p4p, 4947 weight class) and Apollo Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turner slips a straight right by Chromium.
Chromium closes the distance looking to clinch
and Turner counters with a left and a right that stings Chromium.
Turner is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Chromium manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Turner on his heels. He'll look to pass Turner's guard now, I'm sure.

Chromium has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Chromium wants to get up but he can't break Turner's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Turner has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Chromium off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Chromium throws a nice looking combination but Turner bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Chromium shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Turner pinned against the cage. Turner gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Chromium on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Turner. Turner obviously looking to wear him down.
Chromium shoots in and drives through. Turner sprawls well.
Apollo Turner is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Chromium has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Chromium has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Turner is proving hard to escape from.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Turner keeps the fight on the outside.
Turner will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Turner goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Chromium with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Turner to score with a decent uppercut.

Turner has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Chromium drops back looking for a leg! Turner is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Turner manages to kick Chromium off! Chromium jumps back into Turner's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chromium slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Chromium misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Turner.

and Turner counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Chromium tries to clinch there but Turner circles away.

Chromium shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Turner as he avoids it easily.

Chromium shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Turner is trying to defend but Chromium finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Apollo Turner showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Horrible takedown attempt by Chromium or perhaps it was just good defense by Turner, which made it look bad.
Chromium doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Chromium passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Chromium remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Chromium throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Turner avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Chromium.

Chromium is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Turner is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Chromium has an Americana. Turner didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Chromium is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Chromium hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
