Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mawi Da Oxlade (ranked 830 p4p, 828 weight class) and Naiki Nekele (ranked 24 p4p, 32 weight class). Naiki Nekele has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mawi Da Oxlade! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 27 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Naiki Nekele! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Arvi Lind and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nekele throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Da Oxlade misses with a low kick as Nekele jumps back. Nekele waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Da Oxlade. Nekele just misses with a punch to the body.
Nekele takes a swing at Da Oxlade's ribcage but misses. Da Oxlade feinted there with a counter leg kick. Da Oxlade lands with an overhand left.
It looks like Naiki Nekele has been cut. Nekele throws a jab when Da Oxlade was well out of range. Da Oxlade jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Nekele misses the body punch and Da Oxlade counters with a stiff right hand. Nekele throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A jab from Nekele finds it's way through Da Oxlade's defenses.
It looks like Mawi Da Oxlade has been cut. Nekele moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Da Oxlade misses with a wild body shot. Nice straight punches there by Da Oxlade. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Da Oxlade. Nekele scores with a jab to the jaw. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A slow jab from Da Oxlade misses its intended target. Da Oxlade takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Nekele is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Da Oxlade rather than just go for the knockout. Nekele lands with a kick to the temple. Da Oxlade shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
That's one minute gone in the round. Da Oxlade with the inside leg kick. Da Oxlade has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Nekele swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Da Oxlade throws out a loose jab but Nekele uses good head movement to avoid it. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Nekele has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Nekele ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Da Oxlade moves away. Nekele thuds his right hand into Da Oxlade's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Nekele swings for the body but Da Oxlade moves out of range.
Nekele slips under a jab. Nekele lands a head kick. Da Oxlade smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Da Oxlade is rocked! Da Oxlade leaves his chin hanging out and Nekele seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Da Oxlade crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Naiki Nekele! A less than humble Naiki Nekele misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
