Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Amery (ranked 1183 p4p, 2366 weight class) and Desi Kraag (ranked 47 p4p, 102 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Amery! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 14 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Desi Kraag! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurström and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kraag scores with a shot to the body.

Amery fails in his attempt to clinch. Amery has closed the distance and engaged Kraag in a clinch.
Kraag has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Amery after a bit of a struggle. Kraag tries to pull guard but Amery won't allow it.
Kraag's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Kraag throws a hook but Amery blocks it. Amery darts in and clinches Kraag up against the cage. Kraag jumps guard and drags Amery to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Amery stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kraag swivels though and keeps the full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kraag has his foot on Amery's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Amery works his way back into a safe position though. Amery tries to free his leg and advance position but Kraag is retaining full guard. Amery is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Kraag has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Amery can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. This has been an exciting period of action! Kraag not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Amery wants to control from the top but Kraag keeps moving. Amery has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Kraag had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Amery defends it easily. Kraag keeping moving, preventing Amery from controlling successfully. Amery avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Kraag is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Amery pulls his head out easily. Kraag wants to improve his position but Amery is controlling well.

It's a sloppy attempt though and Amery jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kraag can't keep his opponent in guard - Amery advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Amery wants to pass the guard but Kraag is defending well. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Desi Kraag dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Kraag comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Kraag fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Kraag avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

It looks like John Amery has been cut. Kraag cracks a nice hook into Amery's ribs. The fight moves into the clinch position. Kraag has clasped his hands together around Amery's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kraag looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Kraag is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Amery is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Kraag has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Kraag stands up and beckons Amery to his feet. Kraag lands a jab to Amery's midsection.

Amery is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Amery is holding his hands too far apart here. Kraag throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Amery is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
