Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frankie Griggs (ranked 2100 p4p, 4238 weight class) and Antoine Rushe (ranked 285 p4p, 496 weight class). Griggs's entrance music is LL Cool J- Momma Said Knock You Out. A fine choice. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frankie Griggs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Antoine Rushe!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rushe moves into range and connects with a jab.
Rushe misses with a leg kick.
Rushe misses with a lunging right hand
and Griggs counters with a crisp one two that drops Rushe! Griggs thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Rushe to his feet! Rushe is in big trouble!
Rushe is rocked!
Rushe cracks Griggs with a good jab.
Rushe tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Griggs went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Rushe rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Griggs counters with a crisp one two that drops Rushe! Griggs thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Rushe to his feet! Rushe is in big trouble!
Rushe is still on wobbly legs! Can Griggs finish him?
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Nice defenses there by Griggs.
Rushe throws a lazy body kick
and Griggs counters with a huge left! Rushe is in big trouble! He's backing up but Griggs isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Rushe from any more damage. A dominating finish by Griggs!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Frankie Griggs!
Our winner, Frankie Griggs, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
