The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Fire holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fire has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Vaira pushes Fire off looking to stand but Fire dives back in and keeps control.

Fire is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Vaira can do to turn this around?

Vaira pushes Fire away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Fire gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Fire tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Fire has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
