Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Rockhold (ranked 3384 p4p, 3820 weight class) and Wanderlei Shogun (ranked 424 p4p, 467 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alexander Rockhold!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Wanderlei Shogun!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Donald Grub and Sam Margolis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shogun shoots in for a double leg but Rockhold sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Rockhold scores with a nice strike.
Shogun has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Rockhold.
Rockhold misses with a two punch combination.
Rockhold throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Rockhold misses with a takedown attempt - Shogun sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Shogun throws a head kick that misses.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Shogun.
Shogun looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Good exchange - Rockhold coming out on top.
Shogun tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Shogun fails with an attempt to clinch.
Shogun takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Rockhold gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Shogun.
This has been an exciting period of action!

It looks like Wanderlei Shogun has been cut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rockhold fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Shogun throws a push kick but Rockhold slaps the foot to one side.
As Shogun looks to move away, Rockhold throws a big counter combo but Shogun just gets out of the way.
Shogun shoots for a takedown but Rockhold saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Alexander Rockhold has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wanderlei Shogun.

Rockhold clinches up against the cage.
Rockhold lands a nice uppercut.
Shogun misses with a knee to the head.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Shogun tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rockhold smiles and moves away.

Rockhold drops Shogun with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Shogun looks back up at him and smiles so Rockhold waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Shogun is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rockhold cracks Shogun with a left hook right on the temple and Shogun goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Rockhold lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Shogun is OK!
