Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alex Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Willy Mataitai!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Felipe Paraventi and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mataitai looks to land a right hand but Silva moved out of range.
Mataitai slaps away a takedown attempt from Silva, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Silva has a takedown stuffed.
Mataitai swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Mataitai lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Silva darts in looking for a takedown but Mataitai gets double underhooks and turns Silva into the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alex Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mataitai gets underhooks to prevent Silva's takedown attempt.
Silva drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
A head punch on the inside from Mataitai fails to land.

Mataitai is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Mataitai is pressed up against the cage. Silva has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Mataitai down to the mat. Mataitai avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Silva shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mataitai defends it nicely.
Mataitai scores with a nice right hand.
It looks like Alex Silva has been cut.
Alex Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva tries for a takedown but Mataitai sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mataitai lands a big right hand that sends Silva crashing to the mat! Mataitai stays standing though and waves Silva back to his feet!
Silva is rocked!
Mataitai throws a pinpoint strike between Silva's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Silva crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Mataitai scores a great knockout victory!
