Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kaki Mountain (ranked 1188 p4p, 2832 weight class) and Pikel Bouldershoulder (ranked 170 p4p, 376 weight class). Pikel Bouldershoulder has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kaki Mountain! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pikel Bouldershoulder! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bouldershoulder instigates a clinch. Bouldershoulder gets control of Mountain's arms and successfully pulls guard. Bouldershoulder will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Mountain tries to free his leg and advance position but Bouldershoulder is retaining full guard. Mountain looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Bouldershoulder is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Mountain on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Mountain tries to get out of the position. Mountain wants to get back to his feet.
Bouldershoulder is trying to control the action in half guard but Mountain is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bouldershoulder thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mountain's head. Mountain's coaches at Jorzi GYM have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position. Mountain keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Bouldershoulder seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Bouldershoulder stops Mountain from getting back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mountain holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Bouldershoulder working the head and body with strikes. Mountain manages to get to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bouldershoulder trying to control the position from guard on top but Mountain is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bouldershoulder trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Mountain keeping moving, preventing Bouldershoulder from controlling successfully. Mountain is adopting a defensive guard. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Bouldershoulder working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Bouldershoulder has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Bouldershoulder makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Bouldershoulder is fighting to break Mountain's control of his arms but Mountain is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Bouldershoulder trying to control the position from guard on top but Mountain is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bouldershoulder thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Bouldershoulder moves out of range of the body kick. Bouldershoulder gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Mountain counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mountain buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Mountain connects with a solid leg kick. Bouldershoulder just misses with a punch to the body.
Bouldershoulder tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Mountain manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Mountain throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. A nice leg kick lands there from Mountain. Mountain connects with an inside leg kick. Bouldershoulder throws a lazy right hand but Mountain sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Bouldershoulder fails to land the takedown. Bouldershoulder misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Mountain makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Mountain stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mountain wants it to stay on the feet. Kaki Mountain has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pikel Bouldershoulder. Mountain scores with the left hand. Bouldershoulder knows he should have avoided that one.
It looks like Pikel Bouldershoulder has been cut. Mountain uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bouldershoulder.
Mountain thumps Bouldershoulder with a low kick. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bouldershoulder misses with a takedown and Mountain counters with a straight right hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A good leg kick by Mountain. Mountain throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Bouldershoulder on the side of the head.
Bouldershoulder is rocked! Mountain lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Bouldershoulder is still on wobbly legs! Can Mountain finish him? Nice uppercut there from Mountain. Bouldershoulder throws a nice looking combination but Mountain bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Mountain measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Bouldershoulder! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Kaki Mountain! Kaki Mountain retains his welterweight title! An out of breath Kaki Mountain thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
