PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rory Schafer (ranked 2435 p4p, 3398 weight class) and Za Beast (ranked 308 p4p, 409 weight class). Schafer comes to the cage accompanied by Survival of the Fittest - Mobb Deep. The key to victory for Rory Schafer has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rory Schafer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Za Beast!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Percy O'Donnell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beast takes a shot to the body in his stride.

We've been told by Schafer's head coaches at Iron Sharpens Iron that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Schafer drops Beast with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Beast looks back up at him and smiles so Schafer waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Za Beast seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Beast leaves his chin hanging out and Schafer seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Beast crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
