Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sammy Sanchez (ranked 5704 p4p, 4414 weight class) and Brett Johns (ranked 0 p4p, 220 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Sammy Sanchez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Brett Johns! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Paul Tew and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Johns is trying to defend but Sanchez finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Sanchez trying to mount his opponent but Johns defends it. Johns gets back to full guard.
Sanchez wants to control from the top but Johns keeps moving. Sanchez controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Sanchez has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sanchez has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Johns keeping moving, preventing Sanchez from controlling successfully. Johns is trying to control the position but Sanchez postures up.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Johns tries to keep at a distance but Sanchez has taken the fight into the clinch. Johns is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Sanchez is defending well. Sanchez is defending well against a takedown attempt. Johns ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Johns no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sanchez postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Johns is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sanchez, into his guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sanchez is trying to control the position but Johns postures up. Sanchez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Sanchez wants to sweep but no luck. Johns trying to control the position from guard on top but Sanchez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sanchez not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Sanchez looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Johns puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Johns prevents Sanchez from standing back up.
Sanchez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johns tries to stand but can't do so whilst Sanchez controls his leg. Sanchez is staying active underneath Johns, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Sanchez is trying to get back to full guard. Sanchez is trying to control but Johns passes into side control!
Sanchez is being controlled here. Johns tries for a kimura but Sanchez is defending well. Johns is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Sanchez is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Johns is chipping away with strikes.
Sanchez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Johns on the ground. Johns scoring with punches from side control. Johns is looking to take a break and control but Sanchez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Johns scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Sanchez to see if he's OK. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Check out the look on Johns's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Brett Johns dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Sanchez drives through and clinches with Johns against the cage.

Johns tries for a takedown. No joy.
Johns has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Sanchez is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Sammy Sanchez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brett Johns. Sanchez has clasped his hands together around Johns's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Sanchez trying to control the action but Johns is working from the bottom. You can see the frustration on Johns's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Johns pushes Sanchez away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Sanchez gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Johns gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Sanchez with the ground and pound but Johns uses the opportunity to regain guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Sanchez seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Johns keeping moving, preventing Sanchez from controlling successfully. Johns is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Brett Johns has got the better of the ground game so far. Sanchez's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Johns is on top in guard.
Sanchez has his foot on Johns's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Johns works his way back into a safe position though. Johns has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Sanchez is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Johns defends well. Johns advances to half guard. Johns works his way into full mount! Sanchez tries to lock up and control but Johns gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johns is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Sanchez is surviving well by controlling Johns's body position as best he can. Johns tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Johns has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Sanchez's face.
Johns tries to control but Sanchez wriggling away. Johns in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Johns can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Sanchez is looking to escape. Sanchez is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Sanchez tries to control Johns's body but Johns pushes him off. Sanchez squirms to his side and now Johns has his back! Johns tightening his grip on Sanchez, looking for the choke. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! I really don't envy Sanchez right now.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Brett Johns showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Sanchez shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Sanchez showed some decent athleticism there. Johns is concentrating on defense, preventing Sanchez from advancing position. Johns is looking to escape. Sanchez perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Sanchez is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Johns gets back to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sanchez showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Sanchez throwing strikes from guard but Johns blocks nicely. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Sanchez shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Johns manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Johns working for a triangle but Sanchez defends it easily.
Johns lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sanchez has Johns pulled in close to control his posture. Johns controlling from the top position. Johns is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Sanchez is pulling down on Johns's head to control his posture.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Johns's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Johns scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Sanchez on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Sanchez tries to get out of the position. Sanchez is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Johns is aware though and is defending well. Johns preventing the sweep. Johns slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Johns has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Sanchez!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Johns cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Sanchez is looking to get to half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Johns is in the full mount, landing strikes. Sammy Sanchez has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Brett Johns is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Johns is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Sanchez has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Sanchez!
And that's the end of the fight! Brett Johns comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Johns winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
