Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rich Silva Jr (ranked 439 p4p, 515 weight class) and Christophe Dupree (ranked 66 p4p, 72 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Silva Jr might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Sleeping Giant. Christophe Dupree has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva Jr bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Silva Jr was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
A head kick misses from Silva Jr.
Christophe Dupree seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dupree jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Dupree tests Silva Jr's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Silva Jr ducks under a wild hook from Dupree.

Silva Jr fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Dupree looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

It looks like Christophe Dupree has been cut.

and Silva Jr counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Silva Jr blocks a head kick by Dupree.
An attempted straight right counter from Silva Jr misses the target.
Dupree lands a really nice looking cross but Silva Jr seems unphased.
Dupree ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

and Silva Jr counters by moving into the clinch.

A left lands for Dupree.
Silva Jr fails with an attempt to clinch.

Dupree feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Silva Jr sprawling to the canvas! Silva Jr rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Dupree finish him?!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Oh Silva Jr is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Silva Jr tries to get into range but Dupree steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Silva Jr! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Dupree scores the big KO victory!

In his post fight interview, Christophe Dupree started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
Rich Silva Jr was interviewed post fight and said 'Me hungry!'.
