Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Fiyero Lermontov (ranked 705 p4p, 900 weight class) and Jesse Point (ranked 85 p4p, 110 weight class). Jesse Point has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Fiyero Lermontov's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 23 - 16 - 1, fighting out of New York, Fiyero Lermontov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 22 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jesse Point! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lermontov missing with a left hand there. Point was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. A little jabbing left from Point on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Point walks into a jab. Point throws out a leg kick but Lermontov moves out of range and Point only half commits. Lermontov is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Point. Lermontov is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Point. Lermontov keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Point. Point throws a big shot that misses. Lermontov lands a jab to Point's midsection. Lermontov pushes Point up against the cage in a clinch. A bit of stalling here from Point.
Point tries a body shot but Lermontov blocks it.
Lermontov jumps guard but Point turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Lermontov takes an elbow to the temple.
It looks like Fiyero Lermontov has been cut. Lermontov manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Point got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lermontov has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Point has managed to get both his arms back between Lermontov's legs - danger averted. Lermontov can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Point controls the pace. Let's hope that Point has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Point trying to stand up but can't free himself from Lermontov's guard. We've been hearing good reports from Lermontov's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
That's one minute gone in the round. Lermontov is looking for a triangle but Point pushes his legs off easily.
Point is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Point trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Lermontov can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Point controls the pace. Point stands up and waves to Lermontov to follow him. Nice shot lands for Point.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Point throws a looping overhand right but Lermontov ducks down to avoid it. Lermontov looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Point comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Lermontov misses with a hook to the body
and Point counters with a lovely shot to the body. Point pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Lermontov tries to land a front kick but Point steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Point takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Point doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Point blocks a jab. Point fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lermontov manages to avoid it. Point looks to land a left hand but Lermontov moved out of range nicely. Lermontov misses with a hook. Point ducked under it nicely. Point misses with a few strikes there.
Lermontov throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lermontov slips under a jab from Point. Point throws a looping overhand right but Lermontov ducks down to avoid it. Point walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Point with a body punch. A glancing blow. Lermontov tries to clinch but Point moves out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Point lands a big uppercut and Lermontov crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Lermontov looks OK. Point waves Lermontov back to his feet!
Lermontov is rocked! Lermontov misses with a left hand and Point scores with a counter punch that sends Lermontov to the canvas! Point smells blood - he's punishing Lermontov with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Lermontov has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
