Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Takeru Kubota (ranked 377 p4p, 519 weight class) and Sergey Objedkov (ranked 26 p4p, 34 weight class). Kubota comes to the cage accompanied by Devilman No Uta (1972). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 7 - 2, fighting out of Tokyo, Takeru Kubota!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sergey Objedkov!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kubota manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Objedkov keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Kubota lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Objedkov working his ground and pound in the gym.

Objedkov is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kubota is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Well Kubota has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
